Basketball Hoop...Finally!

In 2005 when Erin and I started house shopping for our first house I wanted to find a house with a driveway suitable for a basketball hoop  We did buy a house with a flat driveway but I never put up a hoop.

In 2008 we moved to Zeeland and I had the same requirement - buy a house that has a suitable driveway for a basketball hoop.  After nearly 5 years I finally installed a basketball hoop, and it is fantastic.

The instructions called for a 36" deep, 18" diameter concrete base.  800 lbs of concrete.  A LOT of hand mixing but a decent result for my first concrete experience.

 

 

 

 

 

The upper concrete frame was make-shift but it worked.
