Camping at Hoffmaster

We busted out the pop-up camper for a weekend this year at P.J. Hoffmaster State Park.  We were fortunate to have very warm September weather.

The kids are just old enough now to do some real hiking.  We had a great weekend overall.

Hiking adventures.

Wes was great

Huge staircase? No problem...actually the kids were happy to climb it.

Evie LOVED this slide.

The playground was the overall #1 activity of the weekend.

Totally wiped out by the end.

And of course the fallout from too little sleep

Camping at Tri-ponds

In early August we camped at Tri-Ponds campground for a full week. We borrowed Erin's parents' full sized camper which was a huge help.  It was a cool week but turned out to be a lot of fun.  5 families, 16 kids under the age of 8 (11 aged 3 and under).

The huge jump-pillow was the highlight.  We all enjoyed it and everyone could jump at the same time without too much risk of sending a little kid flying.  Ring-around-the-rosie was a favorite.

Another highlight was biking.  Will and Jack could bike more than 1 mile straight on their "two wheel bikes" (training wheels) and Evie went everywhere on her bike, including some dirt trails with me.
